Jeffrey Dahl Named Woodbury City Administrator

Jeffrey Dahl is the Woodbury's new city administrator, according to an announcement from the city council. He's a Woodbury resident and once served as an intern with the city.  Since 2016, Dahl has been the city manager for the City of Wayzata, Minn.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to work for such a strong organization in the city I call home,” said Dahl. “The City of Woodbury has great staff who care about the community and offer excellent service and connection to the residents of Woodbury. I look forward to working with staff and the City Council to build upon this commitment to be a premier community where everyone can live, work, and thrive.”

The Woodbury Planning Commission Monday recommended approval of a permit for the Woodbury Leadership Academy that would allow the school to add grades 9-12.

New Home For Woodbury Spine And Wellness Approved

Woodbury Spine and Wellness is planning to move to a new building at the CityPlace development near I-94 and Radio Drive. The CityPlace development was approved in 2014 and includes about 600,000 square feet of commercial space comprised of medical offices, retail, financial institutions, and hotels.

Math and Science Academy Graduation, Thursday, June 5, at 6 p.m. at O'Shaughnessy Auditorium at St. Catherine's University.

Learn to Paddle, Thursday, June 5 at 10 a.m and 1 p.m. at Lake Elmo Park Reserve. Beginners age 10 and up can learn how to paddle with free instruction from Wild Rivers Conservancy. Registration is required and vehicle park permit required. Registration is prioritized for Washington County residents that identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color, ages 65 years or older, low-income (annual income of 60K or less), LGBTQ+, and/or persons with a disability. Event is weather permitting.

Elvis Has Left the Building, June 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14 at 7 p.m. A Zephyr Theatre production. Performed at The Grand Banquet Hall, 301 2nd Street S., Stillwater. Elvis is missing! His wily manager, the Colonel, is “all shook up” because he has racked up a secret debt – and with the King nowhere to be found, the only way to pay it off is to find an Elvis impersonator within 24 hours. Hijinks ensue as the Colonel takes desperate measures to replace a man who is irreplaceable. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Pizza orders can be placed up until 6:45 p.m. Cash bar. Tickets are $35 in advance.

Yoga in the Park, Thursdays through August 21, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Lake Elmo Park Reserve North Pavilion. Sessions open to all levels. $10 per session or $120 for season pass. Vehicle permit required.
