Woodbury Sees Rise in Fires Across Homes, Vehicles, Data Shows

Fires have increased in Woodbury over the past several years, with incidents continuing across homes, vehicles and other areas according to data from the city's emergency medical and fire services.

Woodbury recorded 30 fires in 2024 and 39 in 2025, a 30 percent increase, while nine fires have been recorded so far in 2026, some still under investigation.

The department responds to about 8,000 calls each year, with about 90 percent tied to emergency medical services and 10 percent fire related.
