BIRDI Golf Abruptly Closes, Citing Competition and Costs

by Theo Franz | Published on December 1, 2025

BIRDI Golf closed its doors without warning Monday, ending a six-year run as one of Woodbury’s indoor golf destinations.

The abrupt shutdown at Valley Creek Mall was announced in a message from their website, which said “A difficult decision has been made to shut down the business effective immediately.” BIRDI Golf, which opened in October of 2019, served “over 15,000 golfers” and became a gathering spot for leagues, parties and families, according to a statement made on social media.

The owners cited a crowded entertainment-golf market, including new competition only minutes away, as a primary factor.
