Fire Damages Garage, Home In Woodbury

by Theo Franz, WNN Staff | Published on July 3, 2025

A fire damaged a home in the 9700 block of Wellington Lane in Woodbury last night. No one was injured. The garage sustained heavy damage. The home is part of the Wellington Golf Villas located on the Prestwick Golf Course.

The call came in about 10 p.m., according to John Altman, a Woodbury police commander. “The origin of the fire appears to have been the home’s garage,” Altman said in a statement. The Woodbury Fire Department contained the fire with help from nearby departments, including Oakdale, Cottage Grove, Newport and St. Paul Park.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
