The Roundabout

Thursday, April 16, 2026

Good morning!

This weekend’s temperature dip might test your patience, especially with it showing 70s again during the weekdays, but it’s hard to complain too much after the stretch of negative temperatures just two months ago.

In this week’s Roundabout, we highlight local student-athletes recognized at the Athena Awards, along with a look at Woodbury’s upcoming prom season. We also have city updates on prescribed burns, hydrant flushing and a fresh lineup of spring events.

Enjoy!

Prescribed Burns Planned At City, County Parks

by Pat Mack

If you see smoke near a public park, there may be fire, but don’t panic. Chances are it’s a prescribed burn in a Woodbury city park or in a Washington County park such as Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park, Lake Elmo Park Reserve or Pine Point Regional Park.
