Shelley Buck Elected to Represent Woodbury, South Maplewood in House District 47A

Shelley Buck from the Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party was elected Tuesday to represent District 47A which covers the western side of Woodbury as well as South Maplewood. She will be seated on Feb. 17 when the Minnesota House of Representatives convenes.

"I’m honored and excited to be able to represent district 47A in the MN House this coming session. I appreciate the support I’ve received from the community," Buck said in a text to WNN.

Woodbury resident Phill Drobnick arrived in Switzerland this week with a familiar routine but a different feeling.

The longtime U.S. Olympic curling coach is once again preparing his team for the Winter Games, this time with the knowledge that it will be his last behind the bench.

Woodbury Chamber of Commerce Presents Annual Community Awards

The Woodbury Chamber of Commerce’s Community Awards Gala held Jan. 16 was sold out for the first time since before the COVID pandemic. About 250 people attended the event held at the city’s newly remodeled Central Park.

PIT Stop To Help People In Need Near Stillwater

The event is now held twice a year in the Stillwater area and has been held in Cottage Grove and Forest Lake as well. People in need throughout Washington County, which includes Woodbury, are encouraged to stop by. Registration is not required.
