One Year! Our Ribbon Cutting
Woodbury News Net marked its first anniversary with a celebration that included a ribbon-cutting Thursday at 3rd Act Craft Brewery.
WNN is a member of the Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce, which hosted the event. Chamber President Laurie Staiger told the crowd “We’re all very supportive” of WNN’s mission to create an independent, impartial news source for Woodbury.

William Michael Haslach, 30, Maplewood, a former employee of Independent School District #622 (North St. Paul—Maplewood—Oakdale) and ISD #834 (Stillwater Area), has been charged with receipt and possession of child pornography as well as production of an obscene visual representation of child sexual abuse.
The Federal prosecutors allege Haslach used his access to children to take non-explicit photos of children in his care. Haslach then used those images to produce morphed/AI photos of those minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

The school administrative staff had already removed the keys from the bus when officers arrived. It was not immediately released which route the driver was assigned to. CLICK HERE to learn more about the arrest.

Gold Line Bus
The Metro Transit Gold Line is slated to start service on March 22. Buses are already running the route as part of tests before riders are on-board. CLICK HERE to learn more about the route and how you can ride for free for one week.

Metro Transit will celebrate the launch of the Gold Line Bus Rapid Transit on March 22, 2025. There will be a ribbon cutting, media event and ceremonial first rides. Plus Family activities & entertainment. You can READ MORE about the events HERE.

Future Location of Ross Dress For Less
Ross Dress For Less – a national off-price apparel and home fashion chain – plans to open a store in Tamarack Village in Woodbury. The store will be about 26,000 square feet. CLICK HERE to learn more about the store plans.

Pat Driscoll resigned effective February 1, 2025. A new board members selected by the board will take office in late March. CLICK HERE for more information.
Woodbury High School Renovation Exterior Plans
Woodbury High School will undergo construction starting the summer of 2025. Architects revealed draft rendering plans for the school. CLICK HERE to see more renderings and learn more about the planned upgrades.
