Roundabout: Out & About
Tuesday, November 11, 2025
Good morning and welcome to your weekly Out & About!
As we head into mid-November, we’re seeing Woodbury’s calendar starting to move inside, which feels appropriate after the chill of last weekend.
In this week’s edition, we’re featuring Joachim Trier’s newest film “Sentimental Value” as well as local musicals and community gatherings defined by the winter season holidays. And if you take a quick scroll to the bottom of our website, you’ll see that we added an interactive event calendar! Just another free source we’re providing you to help alleviate boredom during the impending cold months.

'Sentimental Value' Is The Year's Best Dramedy
By Hunter Friesen
You will not find a more emotionally intelligent film this year than “Sentimental Value.” Writer/director Joachim Trier’s follow-up to his decade-defining film “The Worst Person in the World” produces each tear, gasp, and laugh at exactly the right moment. Yet it's never manipulative, always proudly wearing its heart on its sleeve. By the time the credits start rolling, you’ll have been on a journey with not just these characters, but also with yourself.
Neon will expand the film to Minnesota theaters beginning Nov. 20.

Fun Fact
The Woodbury Veterans Memorial, adjacent to City Hall, was installed in 2007. The memorial is constructed of limestone and granite with an open overhang and flags representing US, Minnesota and Woodbury governments, plus the six branches of the US Armed Forces and the POW/MIA flag. The memorial has over 2,000 granite pavers that may be engraved with the name and information of veterans. You can order a paver honoring a veteran whether or not they lived in Woodbury.
