Washington County Fair Welcomes Two New Piglet Mascots

For the first time in its 155-year history, the Washington County Fair will feature a mascot: Baby Penny, a real, live piglet.
“I can’t wait to meet you,” Baby Penny stated in a Facebook post. “I’m practicing my oinks, polishing my hooves and getting ready for all the fun.”

Washington County Fair
Wednesday, July 29-Sunday, Aug. 2, 7 a.m.-10 p.m. | 12300 40th St. N., Stillwater
Admission is $12 for visitors older than 8. The fair includes an opening-day parade, animals, quilts, 4-H members, carnival rides, a talent show and free parking. Discounted advance tickets are available, along with discounts on specific mornings for seniors and veterans.
Art Lab: Miniature Playground Sculpture

Kids ages 6-12 are invited to drop in to make and paint their own tiny playgrounds. Free.
