Roundabout: Out & About
Wednesday, September 10, 2025
Good morning!
In this week’s Out & About, we’re spotlighting Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids, a new salon that turns the stress of children’s haircuts into a royal treatment with themed chairs, treats and plenty of fun.
But we’re also looking beyond the barber’s chair with a review of the new mystery film “Wake Up Dead Man,” safety tips for sharing the road with e-bikes, and a packed events calendar, from Puppies on the Patio to the Cottage Grove Food Truck Festival.

A Constant Search For The Perfect Kids’ Haircuts

For some kids, getting a haircut is no big deal. For others, it’s like a root canal without a painkiller.
Woodbury’s new Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids aims to be the ultimate royal-treatment destination for both – part barbershop; part high-end salon and spa; part amusement-park ride; part music and gift shop; part playhouse; part candy, treats and green slime store.
Take it from Ashley Smasal, who owns the newest member of the Twin Cities Sharkey’s franchise family with her husband, Shay. Their store debuted May 31 at 1505 Queen’s Drive in Woodbury Village.
